SIGNS OF HOPE
I have made art for the streets since 2003. Creating art and marching together in community generates connection, courage, and hope. And defends democracy. I hope you'll be inspired by this work, make your own signs (please use any ideas you find here!) and go to many protests and actions.
Social proof —the idea of showing (not just saying) that you are defending our freedoms and democracy is the best way to “fabulously fight fascism” as strategist Anat Shenker Osorio says.

NO KINGS 2 — OCTOBER 2025
E PLURIBUS UNUM
I am dedicated to our country’s motto, E Pluribus Unum. It means: Out of Many, One. In other words: We are all one.
Everything I make, whether for a gallery, a public park, or the street, is based in the reality that we are all one. Greedy people have always tried to divide populations by stealing resources and money then blaming marginalized groups as a way of dividing people. By holding on to the reality that we are connected we can save ourselves from this tactic.

ABOVE THE FOLD
Getting attention is the point. In June, 2025, I collaborated with dozens of grassroots groups and organizers to make art and messages for the front of the NO KINGS NYC march.
We wanted to be clear that this is country is by the people and for the people — that in the USA we don’t do kings. When images from the march landed on the cover of The New York Times, above the fold, and above coverage of the military birthday parade that Trump threw for himself, we knew that the “social proof” was working. The people were literally above the billionaire.
